Agrium Europe developed over the years from a fairly small entity into a large distribution network across much of western europe and central europe today. We continue to leverage our current base and grow into others, bringing other products to market.

Our History

  • Created in 1984 as Common Market Fertilizers (CMF) in France and Belgium
  • Creation of Regent Fertilizers London in 1985
  • Purchase of 98 per cent of Champagne Fertilisants France in 1989
  • Creation of the branch office CMF Atlantique France in 1992
  • 1996 birth of CMF Group which includes CMF Brussels SA, Champagne Fertilisants SAS, F. Rellmann GmbH, Agro Baltic GmbH, Regent Fertiliser Ltd, CMF Atlantique
  • 1997 creation of Agricola Mediterranea in Ravenna, Italy
  • 2004 creation of Agricola Bulgaria
  • 2008 Agrium takes a 70 per cent shares in CMF
  • 2010 Agrium takes over the remaining 30 per cent of CMF shares
  • 2010 CMF Group is now called Agrium Europe
